Storyline

In this historical documentary series, archaeologists Alex Langlands and Peter Ginn and domestic historian Ruth Goodman team up to re-create a working Edwardian farm. The farm, located at Morwellham Quay in Devon, becomes home for the trio for a full calendar year as they learn to live a simpler but harder life during the turn of the 20th century. They have access only to tools and materials that would have been available at the time, and take up the crafts and responsibilities of the average Edwardian farmer, from harvesting crops and raising livestock to mining and fishing.

One of the best farm life style documentary
18 January 2014 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

It is set in 1930s in the time of King Edward.

The Documentary take you back in time, you can feel those times when everything was simple yet it was difficult and people were highly skillful.

If your city loving person then you may not like any of Ruth Goodman's Farm shows. However if you like peaceful farm type life style then you are going to love this.

What I do know is that you will learn something new every time you watch these documentaries (Wartime Farm, Edwardian Farm, Victorian Farm, and Tales from the Green Valley).

The character are original, intellectual, and entertaining. It is one of the best documentaries I have seen including Edwardian Farm.
