Wes asks Dr Ryan if dyslexia is inherited. She responds that it is a neurobiological condition that is genetic in origin, so "yes." This is not quite accurate - genetic predisposition to a condition isn't exactly the same as being "inherited." Wes then concludes that because the brother of the murder victim had a diagnosed dyslexia, that the murder victim did too. Wes theorizes that the disconnected number dialed from the victim's phone was the result of the victim transposing the numbers (due to his dyslexia). Dyslexia was popularly misconstrued to cause this type of visual processing transposition, but it does not. See more »
