Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Some crude sexual references, but nothing too bad

Violence & Gore

This series shows the more brutal way of the pirates and was described by Eddie Izzard as the 'Goodfellas' version.

In a scene there is an arguement between pirates and a cannon ball is fired at a mans leg, which is blown off very graphically and we see tissue, blood and the leg fly off.

A boy is threatend with a knife. Other intense threats thorughout.

People are shot in fights, bloody wounds and blood mist are seen. People are stabbed with spurting blood and somewhat graphic wounds.

People are beaten to death with objects which is very brutal but usually offscreen.

An intense scene where Silver beats a fleeing man with his stick untill he is dazed and then repeatedly stabs him in the neck is brutal even though only a small pool of blood is seen.

A man is shot in the head at close range, we see his bloody hole and his body falls into the sea tinting the water red.

The first episode isnt as intense as the others as they involve graphic violence, brutall beating and swordfights.

Profanity

Some Pi*s, sh*t, and bast*rd, and insults such as dog. I dont think the F-word is used.

Pirates smoke and get drunk in some scenes.

The Inn in which Jim work inhabits people drinking.

Two drunk pirates fight.

The last two episodes are intense due to violent scenes and aggressive threats. I wouldnt reccommend this show to be watched by kids.

Reccomended age 15+
