Storyline

An apparently haphazard group of Springbreaker's rented boat and its captain seem the latest victims of a wave of pirate attacks, which only a female crew member survives, apparently hidden, while a pirate's corpse is left behind. However huge collective ransom is demanded for the youngsters. The team finds the corpse was actually killed before the attack and the earlier, bloodless pirate raids's gang has an alibi. One hostage is slaughtered after his father tries to pay an advance against police advice. The murderous captors demand the surviving crew-girl delivers the full ransom. Written by KGF Vissers

As Steve is going to the car. Danny holds up the car keys and says "Tienes llaves." Which translated means "You have the keys." He should have said "Tengo las llaves." Which is "I have the keys." See more »

Quotes

Danny 'Danno' Williams: So-so that means either Max is dead wrong or we are dealing with a Tongun zombie pirate.
Steve McGarrett: It's possible.
Danny 'Danno' Williams: No, it's not possible. I was kidding.
Steve McGarrett: No, listen, what I'm saying is if our Tongun pirate was killed a full day earlier, he could've been dumped on the boat.

Listen to the Police ****
25 February 2011 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Another excellent episode where a tourist boat filled with college students on a summer break is taken by pirates. Naturally, the thieves want the rich parents to pay plenty of money so that their children can be returned safely to them.

Danno again proves that he is the king of sly humor comparing Steve paying for dinner with paying ransom out.

Steve takes full charge and there is plenty of irony in this episode. Watch what is and is not included in the newspaper article about the kidnapping.

You also have to listen to the police during these hostage situations. It is always true that during these hostage negotiations one person or particular group will try to take over and dominated the proceedings. Failure to follow police instructions can ultimately lead to tragedy.
