Trivia

In the original RTE Radio Series version, the fifth son was Simon. He had a stutter/stammer. The never mentioned sixth child in the TV series.

There was Seven children in the first film, Anjelica Huston's 1999 film "Agnes Browne" (Browne spelt with an e) also, included yet another son Frankie Browne. Both had the story with Pierre, an unused plot in series 1-3 of the TV version.

In one of the movie length straight to DVD series version, before the BBC/RTE TV version was made, Simon's non-appearance was explained away as working night-shift at a hospital.

So, you can probably safely assume that the unseen son Simon is probably asleep upstairs or in work in this version. See more »

I have been surfing on IMDb for a good few years now and had never made an account up to review stuff until watching this.. this.. disgrace! I can't believe this had got commissioned as a TV show its just shockingly bad. I have a really good and varied taste in comedy as I mostly only watch comedy shows/sitcoms but I sat there through two whole episodes just astonished of how bad it was. The script seemed like it was written by a simpleton.. literally. The jokes aren't funny, the storyline (If you could call it that) was vague and boring, This Brendan O'Carroll is not funny in the slightest and just made me cringe.. none of them can act in this balls up of a show. I wasted an hour of my life watching this it is a disgrace to British comedy, BIG TIME!
