- Patrick Jane: [after working with Hightower] Oh, you mean going out with another woman?
- Teresa Lisbon: Yeah - no. You know what I mean.
- Patrick Jane: It was great. It was fun. Intense. Uh, challenging. I think we had a great connection.
- Teresa Lisbon: That's great.
- Patrick Jane: What? You a little jealous?
- [Lisbon hits Jane with one of her crutches]
- Cheryl Meade: No. Rick didn't believe in guns.
- Patrick Jane: He didn't think guns existed?
- Cheryl Meade: He didn't like them.
- Patrick Jane: Me neither. Terribly dangerous. Have you seen the statistics on Police shootings? One bullet out of every ten hits a bad guy, and that's the trained people.
- [to Hightower]
- Patrick Jane: No offense.
- Patrick Jane: So you play bad cop.
- Madeleine Hightower: I'll be me. Thank you.
- Patrick Jane: Right... Exactly what I said.
- Madeleine Hightower: Funny... So funny
- Madeleine Hightower: There was no reason to treat her disrepectfully.
- Patrick Jane: I was probing her. A certain amount of disrespect is necessary. It's uh - it's like getting frisked at the airport.
- Patrick Jane: You're really commited to keeping your temper contained, huh? What's up with that?
- Madeleine Hightower: You're really commited to testing my temper, huh? What's up with *that*?
- [Jane tries to use Hightower to hide himself]
- Madeleine Hightower: What - what are you doing?
- Patrick Jane: Hiding from Attwood.
- Madeleine Hightower: Why?
- Patrick Jane: Because we're going to follow him.
- Wes Attwood: Hey now, I didn't kill anybody. I mean, I'm a killer salesman, but I'm not a killer.
- Kimball Cho: Ask yourself if this is the right moment for humor, Mr. Attwood.
- Patrick Jane: You know I should applaud your bravery, but I gotta say - practically speaking I-I-I -what were you thinking? You could've killed me.
- Madeleine Hightower: Sorry. I got mad. I didn't know what I was thinking.
- Patrick Jane: That's some good shooting though. That - leg shot that took him down was very precise.
- Madeleine Hightower: I was aiming for his head.
- Patrick Jane: Oh fantastic.
- Madeleine Hightower: [about her children] I hope they weren't too much trouble.
- Teresa Lisbon: Not at all. I have three nearly feral brothers. Kids are sweethearts.
- Kimball Cho: Rigsby and I can go. You should stay off that ankle.
- Teresa Lisbon: I'm fine. I'll go.
- [Lisbon starts to rise. Hightower enters]
- Teresa Lisbon: Agent Hightower. Hi.
- Madeleine Hightower: Um, I heard you took a fall.
- Teresa Lisbon: [Lisbon scoffs] I'm fine.
- [Lisbon falls]
- Teresa Lisbon: Ow! I'm fine.
- Patrick Jane: Well, folks, uh, it's been fun.
- Melinda Drew: What?
- Patrick Jane: I have to go. That's my ride.
- Poker-Playing Miner: Come on, you can't just leave. We barely took any of your money.
- Patrick Jane: [to Melinda] 2 pair -
- [to older Poker player]
- Patrick Jane: busted flush -
- [to Poker-Playing Miner]
- Patrick Jane: Pair of Jacks.
- Melinda Drew: Don't let us keep you.
- Madeleine Hightower: I'm not angry.
- Patrick Jane: Sure you are. Letting it out will be helpful, I guarantee. Shout. Scream. Hit something - preferably not me. It'll do you wonders.
- Teresa Lisbon: [babysitting the kids of Hightower] So, cookies?
- Mimi Hightower: Okay.
- [Lisbon stands up and starts to leave the room on crutches]
- Mimi Hightower: Are you disabled?
- Teresa Lisbon: No, no. I'm injured. Not that disabled is bad, but I'm not. I'm injured.
- Mimi Hightower: You walk like disabled.
- Teresa Lisbon: Hm.
- [Lisbon is walking away. Rigsby who has watched the scene is grinning]
- Melinda Drew: Um, you guys aren't going to be much longer, are you? I mean no disrespect to the dead guy, but we're losing daylight.
- Teresa Lisbon: Ma'am, we'll do the best we can.
