The Mentalist continues to entertain
18 September 2011 | by See all my reviews

Although other critics have said that season 3 of The Mentalist is going down hill, I still feel it's a sharp entertaining show with a good mystery every week. Yes it hasn't been as good as the first two seasons but comparing it to other shows when they were in there 3rd season it's not hard to see why it isn't as good. Shows simply just run out of ideas. Maybe not show like dexter or other shows with only 12 episode seasons. but how many times have we watched a Castle or CSI episode that hasn't been at its best. Simon Baker still amuses me as Patrick Jane and as much as I try I still can't see anyone else playing the role as good as him. This episode is in my opinion better than other episodes this season. It was interesting to see how Jan coped without Lisbon, but with Hightower. I do hope the Mentalist picks up it pace before the season finale, because as much as I love the show, it is for the first time getting boring.
