Monica's return wreaks havoc on the Gallagher clan, leaving the children determined to find out if Frank is their real father; disgusted with Monica, Fiona moves in with Steve next door. Karen accepts Eddie's invitation to a purity ball; Frank hits a new low when he uses Carl to stop a disability worker from tampering with his free money from the state.
Did You Know?
The "Purity Ball" that Eddie attends with Karen, is not actually practiced in the Christian Faith. Though it may be encouraged in some sects, it is not at all referenced or encouraged in the Bible to openly confess past sins in front of a group of people to be made pure. The Bible says that sins are, "not to be remembered in the sea of forgetfulness." (Meaning that once your sins are confessed to Jesus, he chooses to forget them and let you start new.) See more
So, I'm just curious about what happens at the Purity Ball tonight.
Well, it's a Christian event designed to strengthen the bond between fathers and daughters. We make a covenant... of purity, like an oath. And then we exchange promise rings and, uh we do some chastity prayers. It's fun.
Wow. Do they have these, um, balls for young men?
Why would they?
