I had the privilege of seeing this at a private screening some six months ago and it turned out to be one of the best shorts I've ever seen.
I must say, this faux-Vertovian masterpiece blew my mind. The director Sten Leesmann (who also wrote and shot the short himself!) manages to capture the feeling of solitude and isolation in an otherwise cold and indifferent society, much in the spirit of, say Kiarostami or even Mohsen Makhmalbaf, but at the same time is able to express the heartwarming aspects of humanity characteristic only to Frank Capra. All that is done using fascinating and creative editing similar to Eisenstein and Vertov, altogether creating a synergy of visual poetry and human warmth.
An absolute must to all young and aspiring filmmakers and an extremely rewarding watch as well!
