Storyline

A tsunami warning is broadcast and all of Oahu is evacuated. However, the chief of the Tsunami Warning Center is missing and McGarrett and Five-0 investigate. However, several things don't add up and soon the team realizes that the warning is a hoax and is being used to cover up a robbery at the police vault. Unfortunately, it could mean the end of Five-0 due to the fact that the target of the thieves is the $28 million that McGarrett "borrowed" $10 million of to save Chin's life. Goofs

The whole password subplot is problematic. First, it's highly unlikely that a learned scientist would be naive enough to use his own daughter's name as a password. Second, it's highly unlikely that a server wouldn't include the originating IP address in its logs.

Worst of all, no server would store users' passwords in a log file, and especially not in plain text. Passwords are stored using a one-way hash encryption, which means they would appear as a string of seemingly random characters, and it's practically impossible to get back the original plain text password from the encrypted version.

While Danny and Chin Ho could have determined that the Dr. Russell entered the same incorrect password twice before entering the correct password, they would not have been able to convert it back to 1015. See more »

Quotes

Steve McGarrett: She wanted to thank us. Actually to - to uh, congratulate us on another job well done.
Danny 'Danno' Williams: I'm - I'm sorry. What?
Chin Ho Kelly: Allright, what about the money?
Steve McGarrett: 28 million. It's all present and accounted for.
Danny 'Danno' Williams: Hmmm.
Kono Kalakaua: Whoa. I don't understand.
Steve McGarrett: The money's all there.

Best so far
2 February 2011 | by (France) – See all my reviews

I really like the way the show is shaping up. After initial doubts about Alex, I'm with him all the way.

This is the best episode so far in my opinion. I love the way the meta plot about the missing 10 million dollars is shaping up. You really want to know what happens next.

I love the chemistry between the characters, Steven, Danno. There are beginning to be some really good secondary characters we really want to see coming back. Why not some interaction (jealousy maybe?) from HPD.

But, like the original, the real star is Oahu itself: it's so beautiful, and I really, really want to go there! Bring H50 back next season please!
