Chief Frank luckily escapes with milder wounds then a security detail member when shot at from a speeding car. Grandpa Henry insists on keeping in mind the numerous enemies one makes in such a career. Filial piety draws Jamie to join the watch in case of another attempt in the hospital of later, when Frank is to unveil an atrium dedicated to Joe's memory. Meanwhile Danny repeatedly breaks the riles, working from the only clue, the car from which was shot, and the easily found driver Diego, who is terrified by the shooter. That trace soon leads to the Brennan mob family, which still mourns an unfortunately bloody arresting firefight. Written by

Congratulations to Kevin Wade, Writer; Jan Eliasberg, director; as well as the Cast of Blue Bloods for the very emotional episode - DEDICATION.
As a former member of law enforcement and a person who watch's practically every police / crime / drama - genre TV Show and movie I can over the past decades; I found this episode one of the top 20 that I recall seeing. The emotions, care, and concerns of all were quite real. There was one major error in that there would have been many more officers not just family at the hospital.
The ending at the actual Dedication with the two sons on the stairs watching and finding the assassin and taking him down so peacefully as their father the commissioner was speaking at the dedication for his Late Son, a fallen officer being honored by the University.
I found this very real and moving and in these very hard times where many an officer has fallen and many more have been fired due to cities not having funds; tonight left me with a feeling of thanks.
