Storyline

Glen tells everyone about the walkers in the barn which adds to the tension among the group. Shane is still arguing they should give up any hope of ever finding Sophia while others refuse to leave. With Carl now healthy, Herschel tells Rick that they are to leave by the end of the week. Dale takes action to make their stay safer but it leads to a confrontation with Shane. While Rick helps Herschel rescue two walkers trapped in a bog, Shane prepares to storm the barn and dispatch the walkers. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

The two zombies that Rick, Hershel and Jimmy removed from the swamp and brought back to the farm and shot by Shane were played by father and daughter stunt performers. See more »

Goofs

When Maggie and Hershel are talking in the kitchen, Maggie mentions that she was 14 years old when Hershel married Annette, who was Beth's mother. Unless Beth was born several years before Hershel and Annette were married (which is unlikely, given Hershel's religious views), Maggie would have to be at least 14 or 15 years older than Beth. However, Maggie's age is established as 22 and Beth is only about 5 or 6 years younger. See more »

From Reviews Of Unusual Size

Re: Glen finally tells the group his big secret and Laurie does the same. Shane gets pretty fed up with pretty much everyone.

Outstanding: Now this is more like it! Some little jabs of humor, plenty of zombies, good effects, some excellent evocative performances and the story finally progresses past pathos and bitchy whining.

Unacceptable: I'm still not entirely sure what Dale was doing in the swamp or why the rest of Hershel's crew seems to have absolutely no personality at all. (The adorable Maggie excepted, of course)

Summary: This is what I had expected the entire series to be like. Shocks, twisty characters and some genuine horror. The music was pretty powerful this episode too.
