Not something you see every day...

This movie is an example of why documentaries are so important. A peek into a world that shatters stereotypes and can make us re-think our own perceptions. The director does a great job of letting the camera do the storytelling without forcing us to see a certain point of view, we can just assess what is presented and come to our own conclusions. Well done!

Surprising and enlightening

Had no idea what to expect but I'm a fan of everything football related so I checked it out. I'll admit now that I was skeptical at first, and I'm admitting it because it reflected something that the film talks about, which is preconceived ideas. These guys can play, and they're a lot more like me and my friends than I realized. Props, men. Good stuff. Good film.

Original and absorbing, the director takes you on the field and off as you follow three gay teams (well not totally) in their quest to win the gay bowl championship. What's surprising is how much you care about the guys and begin rooting for your favorites. You don't need to love football or be a gay man to enjoy this one!

Trailblazing story that needs to be shared

F(l)ag Football is a landmark documentary. It takes the viewer into a world not often seen: the gay athlete. If more films like this were made & seen I think everyone would see how we're more alike than different. Kudos to the filmmakers!

A documentary about acceptance and encouragement at a time when we really need it. (And I think you'll like it even if you're not a sports fan!)

This should be required viewing for every middle school or high school gym/health class.

I loved this movie. It is a great story of dedication and acceptance that is full of heart. I'm not a fan of football but I even found myself getting caught up in the game as well.

Great Film

Great storytelling about some of the hardest working and playing athletes around that don't get nearly as much credit as they deserve. My husband played in the featured tournament and we are proud to be allies of such strong LGBT representatives in this country. A much needed film about some wonderful people all across this country coming together for the love of a game. Proud to be a small part of it.

I don't know that I was expecting to enjoy this film as much as I did. I didn't get the football gene, but despite this I found myself being pulled into the personal stories of these people and drawn into the drama of their struggle. Very tightly directed to this end...and crisply edited. I highly recommend.

exceptional slice of life view

As a straight female, I thought it important to see other lifestyles I might not come into contact with. I loved this film-not only because of its heart and joy, but seeing the pain some people go through just to be themselves. It was beautifully done and I wish I could have done a hugh group hug with all. Don't miss this-open your mind and heart. Thank you for this experience!

I really enjoyed learning about the trials and tribulations in a world and community that I didn't even know existed until I watched this!
