Sex & Nudity

Suggested MPAA rating: R- for Strong Violence including Disturbing Depictions of Terrorist Attacks, Sexuality/Nudity, Language and for Some Drug Use

Several sex scenes in each of the first few episodes. Each showing breasts and bottoms.

The vast majority of the nudity is female. Breasts are often shown. Several scenes with women in their underwear, whether they're getting changed or during a sex scene.

Sexual intercourse is frequently shown. Each scene showing full female frontal nudity, though there is usually some sort of censor around the genital area, or a silhouetted effect.

One scene where a young woman is standing in her underwear with her breasts exposed for a few minutes discussing whether she'd be willing to have lesbian and anal sex. A woman touches her genitals through her panties and tells her to get waxed.

One scene where a woman tries to seduce a man but instead the man masturbates in front of the woman in just her panties(breasts are shown).

One scene where a man and woman are going to have sex (nudity shown) and the man is suddenly very rough with the woman. The scene is very short but the focus is on the woman who's shocked and upset.

One scene where a couple have sex in the back of a car.

One scene where a couple are having sex (nudity shown) in bed. The man is taking the woman from behind.

Violence & Gore

Very graphic and disturbing violence including torture

The 'f' word is used heavily, as is the 's' word. Also, blasphemy and lots of other curse words are used during the course of the show.

Some characters drink. Some drink heavily, and then are shown going to a car to drive, or actually driving.

Some characters smoke.

Homeland can be VERY emotional at times. Some scenes may upset some people due to the emotion being shown on screen.

The theme of terrorism might disturb/offend some people.

The torture scenes may shock some people.
