Homeland: Quinn Will 'Color Carrie's Every Thought' — 2018 First Look
Yes, Quinn is gone. But forgotten? Pshaw. Not by a long-shot.

When Homeland returns with Season 7 on Feb. 11 (9/8c, Showtime), “Quinn’s death and Carrie’s grief for him are everywhere – coloring her every thought,” shares co-creator and showrunner Alex Gansa of Rupert Friend’s dearly departed, death-defying hitman, who perished in the Season 6 finale. Gansa adds that the loss of Quinn will also inform Carrie’s “contempt for President Keane” and “push her to reassess what’s really important in her life.”

And if you think that the show is all about predicting just what might happen with the current presidency then you’ve been paying attention for the last six seasons like a good viewer. Of course the show originally banked on Hillary Clinton winning the presidency but it’s kind re-calibrated since then. So far it’s now on course to see Claire Danes taking her character through a troubling arc that has her pit against the same people that she should

The Best TV Performances of 2017

The Best TV Performances of 2017
It’s virtually impossible to limit year-end lists to 10 or 20 shows, so it’s literally impossible to include all the great performances from 2017 on one list. But IndieWire has done our best, wading through the hundreds of award-worthy turns from veteran actors and TV newbies to find the best performances this year.

These actors accomplished something special: They elevated their shows even when it seemed like the series couldn’t go any higher. They found surprising depths within the writers’ words and surprised directors with keen insights into their characters. They made us laugh, cry, jump for joy, and scream in frustration. Their precision in understanding who they played helped evoke passion in the audience watching.

We will not soon forget, and if you haven’t yet seen some of these fine thespians go to work, make sure to make the time. There may be a lot of television out there,

‘The Meyerowitz Stories’ Star Elizabeth Marvel On Leaving Her Comfort Zone For Noah Baumbach – The Contenders Video
As Potus Elizabeth Keane on Showtime's hit series Homeland, Elizabeth Marvel has become pretty well acquainted with the concept of female empowerment. But while he was casting his Netflix film The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected), director Noah Baumbach surprised the actress by offering her the role of Jean, the quiet, dowdy but laconically funny youngest sibling of the Meyerowitz clan. "You know," she mused at Deadline's seventh annual The Contenders awards-season…

Trailer Watch: It’s Carrie vs. the President in “Homeland” Season 7

Homeland”: Showtime

The last time we saw Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes), she had failed to stop an assassination attempt on President-elect Keane (Elizabeth Marvel). Turns out Carrie and the entire intelligence community will pay for that mistake, a new trailer for Season 7 of “Homeland” reveals. Keane has authorized the arrest of 200 intelligence experts without bringing charges against them, a move Carrie calls “some of the most expansive civil rights abuses in the history of our nation.”

Season 7 will see Carrie fight to secure the release of the detainees, her mentor and friend Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) among them. Taking on the president will likely be one of the most difficult challenges of Carrie’s career so far. After all, her sense of duty to her country and its safety is how she defines herself. “Nobody grows of dreaming of taking down criminals inside their own government,” a new colleague (Morgan Spector) says in commiseration.

Homeland season 7: first trailer arrives

Den Of Geek Dec 13, 2017

Homeland's seventh season is on the way, and we now have a gripping trailer to sink our teeth into...

Against all speculation about its fate, Homeland recaptured its previous glory during a dynamite sixth season, even offering a finale that left fans reeling.

So what's next? Well, the good news is that, yes, Homeland season 7 is coming. In even better news, it sounds like Homeland season 8 is also a go. Last June came the first reports that the show was given a two-season renewal that is expected to conclude the series' run. That was confirmed later in the fall, with showrunner Alex Gansa doubling down on ending the series on a two-part high.

And unsurprisingly, it includes a lot of 'ripped from the headlines' political, cloak and dagger plotting.
