Powerful!!!
10 July 2011 | by See all my reviews

Had a chance to screen this film in Cannes and what a gem of a short film it is! The short film deals with an issue of child labor in Lebanon, but the writer/director of this master piece takes such a subtle approach that it sends out a universal message. The young girl who plays Noor, is AMAZING, she's a natural and you believe her from the start. The film is only 13 minutes, but the filmmaker does such a great job in telling a story from beginning, middle to end, a true talent in every sense. I hope to see more from this writer/director! A beautiful, moving, tragic, and hopeful story to watch! It's still circuiting the festivals, go see this short film!
