Starz Digital Media Acquires Clark Gregg’s ‘Trust Me’ for Multiplatform Release

Starz Digital Media has picked up U.S. rights to Clark Gregg’s comedy “Trust Me,” the Hollywood tale that premiered last year as part of the Tribeca Film Festival.

Starz Digital Media, the digital and on-demand distributor that’s a division of Starz, will release the pic on digital and VOD platforms in May ahead of a June theatrical release.

Pic is the second written and directed by actor Gregg (“The Avengers,” “Agents of Shield”) after “Choke,” his 2008 adaptation of the Chuck Palahniuk novel. In “Trust Me” he co-stars with young thesp Saxon Sharbino alongside Sam Rockwell (who also appeared in “Choke”), Amanda Peet, Allison Janney, William H. Macy, Molly Shannon and Felicity Huffman.

Starz Digital Acquires Rights to Clark Gregg's 'Trust Me'

"Trust Me," a comedy that premiered earlier last year at the Tribeca Film Festival, has just been acquired by Starz Digital Media, the digital distribution subdivision of Starz. Director Clark Gregg, of "The Avengers" and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" fame, also stars in the film about a Hollywood agent who finally has a chance at notoriety after discovering a 13-year old child prodigy.
