Trivia

In March 2011, Anthony Bourdain, who shares a production company with Brew Masters, reported via Twitter that Brew Masters would be cancelled due to pressure by a large beer company who threatened to pull advertising. Author Andy Crouch later confirmed the cancellation, saying it was due to low ratings, rather than pressure from advertisers. See more »

They need to make more....as well as show us episode 6.

"Brew Masters" is a short series that is a must-see if you are a home brewer or if you just like great beer. However, they show only lasted for a few episodes. Five are available on Netflix and the sixth is currently unavailable and only has been shown in Europe! Seriously.

Sam Calagione is the likable host and owner of Dogfish Head Brewery in Delaware. This brewer is about EXTREMES--super-high alcohol beers, beers with HUGE hop contents (making for bitter and very flavorful brews) and ancient recipes and more! Among the home brewers, Calagione is a sort of god for his work and so this is a great reason to feature him and his brewery.

My only reservation is that the series starts slowly. The first episode was a bit too hip for me and the second was very gross (see it and you'll understand why). It's sad, as the show really picked up in subsequent episodes and deserves more.
