Over 200,000 protesters marched in street demonstrations in Australia in May 1970. Of these, 70,000 were in Melbourne and 20,000 were in Sydney, the latter of which is where this documentary was filmed. These protests represented the first of three Moratoriums that were organized.
This film is an impressionistic unobtrusive observational black-and-white documentary that features group meetings, street protests, public speeches, large demonstrations and rock concerts. The doc features no narration.
