What certainly made this one of the best episodes so far on this mediocre series was that it concentrated on one subject. These sidebar stories in previous episodes have been somewhat of a distraction. This was not the case in this episode;however, Pete's role suffered as a result.
Not only does a friend, who was accused of murder 17 years before, suddenly reappear, this return and subsequent trial relates to us what Nick's life was like when he graduated from law school at age 35. It wasn't exactly the nicest type of practicing law.
The ending is not the greatest, but our two guys are still ready at work looking to clear their client.
