Spread over the whole series are famous actors from the Star Trek franchise, in particular Star Trek: Voyager. Kate Mulgrew who played Capt. Janeway in Voyager, appears here in a similar role as Kove, the leader of the NTSF. In some of the other episodes, several other well-known actors from Voyager made cameo appearances: Robert Picardo (the Holo Doc) and John DeLancie (Q). Furthermore John Cho (who plays Sulu in the theatrical reboot film series) made an appearance.
