Even though religion is wisely never discussed on this show, we see some typical stereotypes depicted with Allen and Elaine's meddling.

Jessica Walter steals this episode as the typical mother meddling in the love life affairs of David, their 35 year old son who is trying to find himself by moving down to Florida and giving up his eastern job.

It's the old story that by meddling, they are throwing more roadblocks into David's life. They're really creating mayhem along the way with everyone else in the young man's life.

David comes off as rather stiff and corny to some degree. At least, if he had a profession we could always say- My Son The....
