After watching this documentary and thoroughly enjoying it, I was surprised by all the negative reaction to it in these reviews. Though one specific choice is quite "controversial", this is overall a great tribute to some great professional wrestlers spanning many decades.

Basically, "Top 50 Superstars" is a ranking (among current WWE superstars) of the 50 greatest professional wrestlers of all-time. Great figures from all eras of wrestling are included in this set, such as Killer Kowalski, Bruno Sammartino, & Gorgeous George, all the way up to Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Rey Mysterio. It runs the gamut and it is fun to see the diversity of all the crazy characters.

The reason for all the middling rankings, though? SPOILER: Hulk Hogan is inexplicably ranked in the mid-20s. Whether that is because of his feud with Vince McMahon or because of a lack of respect among the technical wrestlers (Hulk was always more of a showman) I don't know, but it is quite odd.

Besides that foible, however, this is a great little collection of wrestling nostalgia that I highly recommend for wrestling fans of any generation.
