Storyline

Chloe is a college student studying Anthropology. Aurelius is studying Hematology. They seemingly have nothing in common, except both have a secret. When brought together in a Literature Class, Chloe and Aurelius seem like the most unlikely of friends. Chloe is a pastor's daughter. Aurelius is a pale loner. When Chloe reaches out to try and befriend him surprising things happen. This is a story of humanity, love, and blind superstition. It's amazing what can happen when you reach out to a stranger. Your whole world might get turned upside down. Written by Mandie Abraham

Goofs

Chloe and her family are Jehovah's Witnesses. There are many incongruities with this in the film. Chloe's father is said to be the pastor, but the organization does not have pastors but rather elders. They speak often about going to church, a term not normally used by Jehovah's Witnesses for the Kingdom Hall. The church building features a prominent cross above the door. Jehovah's Witnesses do not recognize religious symbols and certainly not the cross, which they consider a pagan symbol attached to Jesus' death about 300 years after-the-fact. See more »

Quotes

Chloe Parish: Stop or I'll shoot. This is a good man and if you took the time to get to know him you would find that out. He doesn't want to hurt us. He doesn't feed off of humans. He wants to help us. He wants to help find cures for diseases. He wants to help find cures for diseases like AIDs. Maybe that doesn't mean much to you but it means a lot to people like me who have it. That's right I have AIDs and it's advancing very quickly. I don't have that much longer to live and I will not hesitate to shoot ...

Fantastic movie
5 October 2013 | by See all my reviews

This is the best movie i have ever seen in my entire life. The cinematography was amazing and the deep symbolism was too deep to grasp by most people. I love how the main Character constantly had the expression of a minotaur, I think it really tied the movie up and just made it amazing. I love the bond that the two characters build during the movie and i find it to be really relate-able and i would even dare to compare this movie with other pieces of film gold such as 2:13, The Puppet Master, Twilight, and Bloody Marry. I loved this movie and i would even dare to say that is is my new all time favorite movie of all time, I strongly recommend that you watch it and i think you will love it.
