Emmy worthy performance and script from Meryl and the writers
Here is where I can confidently say that Meryl should get an Emmy for her performance. The role reversal she assumes is absolutely brilliant, and she steals most of the punches here too. I think her voice is gem-like and she cleverly uses rise and falls to never make the flow of the character monotonous. 'That may work!' 'To see Kip....', 'African-American band aids', 'I broke my nail. Oh God, why?', 'This has happened many times before. With the golf caddie etc', 'This scarf is so tight', 'six kids, one adopted (and she moves her eye-balls to the left as if that child is being thrown out!) etc are some of her memorable ones. Kurdrow also is competent enough and has punches of her own, like ' to receive Kip!', 'Wear a blazer'. Also, it is helpful in a way to keep Kurdrow to the left of the screen because the focus then falls on the guest.
The writing is spectacular and gives a very satisfying conclusion to the previous two episodes. The writers surely must've had the best times of their lives working with Meryl because all their gags are so brilliantly highlighted. Just one advice: 'Watch Web Therapy!'
