Bye Bye Sam. Her character was surplus to requirements or Caterina Murino was obliged to appear in just a few episodes.

The remainder of her appearances could just be flashbacks. It means XIII is even more haunted as he travels to Ireland looking for a man called Seamus.

Agent Jones is in tow although the heat is on her. Her superiors back in Washington think that XIII must have a guardian angel.

The best lead XIII gets in Ireland is an old girlfriend of Seamus. However others are interested in XIII over his snooping.

This is a story that is based on the graphic novel story. However the Good Friday Peace Accord means it has to be heavily rewritten to fit in with the television narrative.

It is still a story about terrorists, arms dealing and this time far right groups are brought into the story.

Jones is shocked as to what might have happened in American soil. There might be a suspicion that Seamus was XIII all along.

Canada stands in for Ireland rather unconvincingly.
