Dominic Cooper Takes on the 'Most Dangerous Man Ever' in Spy Thriller 'Stratton' (Exclusive)

Dominic Cooper Takes on the 'Most Dangerous Man Ever' in Spy Thriller 'Stratton' (Exclusive)
Dominic Cooper picked up a trick or two from his time on Agent Carter, it seems. Now that his tenure on the Marvel spy series is complete, it is Cooper's turn to play a secret agent in the upcoming action thriller, Stratton, and Et has the first trailer.

From this first look, it's clear Stratton has everything you'd want out of a flick about MI6: the threat of a biological weapon with millions of lives at stake, an accented villain vowing to get his revenge and a spy who has no respect for authority or the chain of command. To which Cooper's Stratton states, "I'm prepared to accept any penalties for violating protocol."

Stratton is based on novels of the same name and comes courtesy of The Expendables 2 and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider director Simon West. If that leaves you with any doubt the movie will be badass, it co-stars [link=nm

It’s the story of a family who are separated once L.A. is submerged, and if you could imagine Los Angeles as a sort of water-logged, underwater theme park. It’s how they get back together in a city that is very familiar to them and a lot of people, but now very different because it’s fifty feet underwater.”

Halle Berry reportedly set to star in The Blob remake

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard word on the planned remake of the 1958 sci-fi cult classic The Blob, but now it seems that we may have a new addition to the cast, with Bloody Disgusting reporting that Halle Berry is attached to star in the long-gestating remake.

In January of 2015, it was announced that Simon West (The Expendables 2) had signed on to direct the film, which is described as a “reimagining”, while Samuel L. Jackson also boarded the project in May of that year. The logline for the remake reads:

When a band of miners uncover something hidden deep beneath the earth they unwittingly unleash a hideous creature beyond imagination. Now the townsfolk must fightback, before it destroys everything.

The Blob was released in 1958 and starred screen legend Steve McQueen. A sequel entitled Beware! The Blob was released in 1972, while Chuck Russell directed a remake

Halle Berry looks set to take on The Blob remake

  • HeyUGuys
Author: Zehra Phelan

It may have all gone quiet regarding news on the modern day remake of the Blob, but reports are surfacing that the project is still bubbling away behind closed doors and even has X-Men and Kingsman: The Golden Circle actress, Halle Berry attached to star.

The Expendables 2 and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider director Simon West is still stated to be at the helm of the reimagining of The Blob, which will be the third outing of this story. Another small development has arisen too which could have thrown a spanner in the works for Samuel L. Jackson. Jackson has been attached to star for a while now; he last gave an update on the status of the progress two months ago, revealing the film was being financed by China. However, according to the Swengroup (Dear, Demonic) website, Jackson’s name is nowhere to be found.

Is Halle Berry Climbing On Board The Blob Remake?

B-movie classic The Blob is getting another remake. Why? I couldn’t tell you, but here we are. Goldcrest Films is moving forward with the project and the studio has set The Expendables 2 helmer Simon West to direct.

The 1958 cult classic, directed by Irvin Yeaworth, starred a young Steve McQueen as a teenager whose small Pennsylvania hometown is unexpectedly threatened when a gelatinous alien life-form emerges from a meteor and begins to consume the townfolk, growing larger in size with every new victim and oozing forward with no indication of stopping.

The Blob, though received with mixed reviews at the time of its release, is now held up as a prime example of B-movie entertainment. It birthed a sequel, too, in the form of Larry Hagman’s 1972 flick Beware! The Blob, and was previously remade in 1988 by Chuck Russell.

Back when this new version was announced, West said the

Halle Berry Takes on The Blob Remake?

Halle Berry Takes on The Blob Remake?
The Blob remake has been in development for a very long time and updates have been few and far between. However, it looks there may have been a somewhat quiet, interesting development on the movie. If a new production listing is accurate, it looks like Oscar-winner Halle Berry has been tapped to star in the long-gestating modern retelling of The Blob.

The news was uncovered by Bloody Disgusting, who discovered that the horror production company Swengroup updated a listing on their site for The Blob. According to the listing, Halle Berry is the sole star attached to be in the movie. There wasn't a lot of context provided in the listing, but her name was there, along with Simon West (Con Air, The Expendables 2), who is apparently still attached to direct. If this turns out to be true, it would be a pretty big deal.

Halle Berry may not

‘Conan the Barbarian’ at 35: How Darth Vader Helped Arnold Schwarzenegger Beat the Muscle Man Stereotype
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s films have grossed $1.9 billion in North America. Among his classics are James Cameron’s 1984’s “The Terminator”; 1991’s “The Terminator 2: Judgment Day”; and 1994’s “True Lies,” as well as such hits as 1987’s “Predator” and 2012’s “The Expendables 2.”

His movie catch phrases such as “I’ll be back”; “Hasta la Vista, Baby”; and “Get to the chopper” have become part of the pop culture lexicon.

Schwarzenegger even served as the Governor of California from 2003 to 2011. And has recently has gone mano y mano in a Twitter feud with President Trump. Guess who won?

But would he have been as big a star — let alone as governor — without his breakout role in John Milius’ “Conan the Barbarian”? The violent, erotic R-rated sword-and-fantasy adventure based on the stories of 1930’s pulp fiction writer Robert E. Howard opened in 1,400 theaters on May 14, 1982.
