Fairly Good
12 February 2013 | by See all my reviews

Overall this is an average episode. The basic plot is Twilight Sparkle must learn what the elements of harmony are to stop a possible attack by Nightmare Moon. The introductions to the "mane" characters was effective and short. The plot was interesting and well developed. Many future fan favorite characters were present. But there were some issues with this episode. The writers and actors were not used to the characters yet; this is most apparent with Rainbow Dash and spike. The story of Nightmare Moon also needs to be more developed. We need to know more about her motive. Yet overall this episode was fairly good.
