Didi Godale has just found out that she will soon die from a brain tumor. The brave teen tells her parents that she wants to spend her last days camping with the ones she loves most. What follows is as heartbreaking as it is hilarious in Rhode Island Entertainment's latest film, 'Didi's Last Wish.' Written by Anonymous
This movie was so touching, so funny, so well acted, that as soon as it ended, I had to watch it all over again. It was as good as any movie I've seen this year, or in the past couple of years. Bevan Leisner, the young woman who plays Didi, shows such grace, intelligence, and soulfulness on camera that I could not contain myself from weeping profusely when her character died. Mary Francis' depiction of Aunt Tab had me in stitches from start to finish. And the depiction of the fractured relationship between Didi's extremely distraught parents, played exceptionally well by Forrest Leisner and Domine Warren, was at the same time hilarious, and heartrending. This is the kind of movie that you really cherish, that keeps you up at night thinking about it. This is truly one of the greats.
