Plot Summary

  • Anna and Jacob fall instantly in love when they meet as students at an L.A. university. But Anna is British and when graduation approaches, Anna decides to stay and violate her student visa rather than returning to England. After a visit home, she is then unable to return to the United States. While fighting customs and immigration battles, Anna and Jacob must decide if their relationship is worth the distance and the hardship.

  • In Los Angeles, the British Anna and her college mate Jacob fall in love with each other. They graduate and Anna decides to violate the period of her student visa and overstay with her boyfriend. Later she travels back to London and when she tries to return to the USA, her request is denied since she is considered banned from the United States of America. Jacob travels to London to meet her family but he needs to return to his business in Los Angeles. Soon they decide to see other people since they cannot be together and Jacob has a love affair with his employee Samantha. But they miss each other and Jacob travels to London and get married with Anna. However, her application is still denied and they are not able to convince the authorities that they married for love and not for granting her return to LA. The situation generates friction in their relationship and Jacob returns to Sam while Anna lives with Simon. Months later, the lawyer tells that Anna can return to the USA, and she leaves Simon and Jacob leaves Sam. Will their relationship be the same after the long period distant to each other?
