During the release of this film, Babalu and Nova Villa were both cast members a popular sitcom at that time, Home Along da Riles playing half siblings. Also at that time, Babalu and Jimmy Santos were both appearing on another popular sitcom, Oki-Doki-Doc. Another cast member, Don Pepot also became part of Oki-Doki-Doc as a replacement to Babalu due to his untimely death.
During the "Harana" scene, Benjie Paras unintentionally broke out of his character when Greggie (Babalu) confronts the inept guitarist. Paras raised the flowers he is holding to hide his laughter.
This is the second film in 1994 Babalu co-starred with Nova Villa. They previously appeared in the film Hindi Pa Tapos Ang Labada, Darling (1994) starring Vic Sotto and Dina Bonevie playing their in-laws.
A clip from Demolition Man (1993) and two unnamed movies were shown from the man's television.
The film's plot bears some similarities to the Charlie Chaplin film, City Lights (1931), including a blind female character trying to regain her eyesight and the male character (in this case, two male characters) finding ways to earn money to pay for her procedure; and a suicidal male character who befriends the main protagonist(s) when he is drunk, but antagonizes them when he is sober.
