Its a no go for filmlovers , but pretentious hipsters your name is written all over it.

This film does not deserve 8.2 stars out of 10 in any shape of form, it is really awful. I watched this yesterday with my wife and sadly wasted 20 dollars on this movie. Felt like kind of cheated while going through the whole movie. First of all, the writing is really terrible, the movie is about an Indian living in America in 70s this doesn't mean that every American he interacted with is an asshole. Demeaning other nationalities doesn't even make protagonist even one percent likable. Acting is bad, dialogs are bad. Set design is good, cinematography is good, except all the Chromakey shots with Michael Madsen, that really made me hate the movie. All in all not a good movie, it could have been 100 times better, if we knew the clear motivation of the characters. All the characters are one dimensional. Set design was impressive but could have been better. Given said all, I understand it is really hard to make a complete feature film and really an accomplishment for the filmmakers. I am not saying that people will not like this movie, this is right up the alley of pretentious hipsters to love, but for people who really have some taste, understands filmmaking and watch movies to get entertained its not for you.
