Interesting; Narration could have been better, 24 March 2015

The subject is fascinating; consider how iconic the vampire image has become in today's society. The documentary touches on the beginnings of the vampire legend from around the world, but primarily focuses on the European/American development of the vampire legend as it is popularized through media--from oral legends, to the written word through film and television. While not ground-breaking, I doubt there is anything truly original here, very nice use of the visual medium and good use of background music in that it supports but doesn't over-ride the subject matter. It is worth watching if you are interested in the development of the modern vampire legend.

How I ask you, could it go wrong? Weeeeelllll, by hiring the dullest possible narrator possible? His tone is flat and he reads the monologue with practically no inflection at all. While this is my only criticism--the script is--while not exciting, adequate. However, this is a pretty major problem in this kind of documentary. Honestly, the documentary deserves a higher rating, if not for the narrator it would have it.
