Chick flick, 7 March 2012
Author: martin-311-679945 from New Zealand

I saw the positive rating and was looking forward to an intelligent drama. I knew I was in trouble when the background music started to sound like Desperate Houswives. If you imagine James Bond - and then imagine his touchy-feely alter-ego - you may get an idea for how this plays out. Add in a story line that is as contrived as Enid Blyton's Famous Five and you have the first episode of this series. I tried to think of positives; it shows Edinburgh in a photogenic way that would help tourism, and then - well and then I ran out. I can only imagine that someone took all of the cliché's they could think of, from our hero being hit on the head from behind but left to recover to being an ex-policeman and so able to gain access to databases to help his case) to being awkward with women (whilst still getting more than his fair share of nookie). For a night with 'the girls', this would be a great show. But for blokes ...
