Storyline

After Jamie secretly meets FBI agent Anderson in Chinatown, after hours, to decline succeeding late brother Joe as spy in the search for the Blue Templars, he sees triad goons attack a woman, as turns out an illegal prostitute, and intervenes. In the ensuing chase, one of them gets hit by a car and dies. I.A. is instructed to conduct a rigorous investigation as the press might suggest the commissioner's son is getting special treatment, although he merely omitted calling in colleagues on duty, for which there was too little time. Meanwhile Danny, who remembers having needed spankings unlike his golden kid brother, finds a way round the reluctance of potential witnesses and links the case, in which the surviving triad abuser is murdered to shut him up, to prostitution and baby trade for adoption. Jamie's girl friend Syd dumps him for a promotion to London. Written by KGF Vissers

Quotes

Jamie Reagan: [On the phone] No, no no, I didn't expect this to happen, he ran right out into traffic. Now the guy's dead, it's a total scene out here, I think every cop from Lower Manhattan came out.
Frank Reagan: Were you hurt?
Jamie Reagan: No, I'm fine dad, listen, don't worry about me, I just wanted to let you know I... I don't want this to jam you up in any way.
Frank Reagan: You just tell the truth, you'll do fine, son.
Jamie Reagan: Yeah.
Frank Reagan: [Gets another call] I've gotta go, I'm sorry.
Jamie Reagan: Yeah, okay. All right, bye.

They don't need to know
6 October 2016 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

The action is on Will Estes in this Blue Bloods story. He's a rookie on probation and while off duty and in Chinatown prevents a kidnapping of a young Asian woman. One man with a nice size rapsheet is run down fleeing from the scene.

Internal Affairs is all over Estes on this one. He acted above board and perfectly appropriately, but they always are looking for scalps. As it turns out he's got good reasons for not wanting people to know his business.

I doubt very much that the NYPD would let brother Donnie Wahlberg ever get near a case involving his brother. Still as always Wahlberg gets results.

This episode though is a great illustration about why I told my nephew not to pursue this as a career. Internal Affairs always has to justify its existence and on a slow week will go after someone like Will Estes.

This episode also has Scott Cohen in a usual Scott Cohen smarmy role of a doctor with a racket going. He'a always good to watch.
