Originally Monster Madness was intended to be a feature length documentary that would of been uploaded on Cinemassacre's website. Because of the limited space of video that can be uploaded on the internet at the time, the documentary would have to be divided into segments. Due to that issue, James Rolfe decided to make several video segments each discussing a different horror movie during the whole month of October. That decision lead to the creation of this series.
