Natalie and Nick are frustrated with their luck in romance. After tossing coins into a fountain, the two then begin dreaming about each other. But, according to fountain mythology, they only have a week to turn those dreams into reality.
Michael is a 'guardian angel' who appears when children need an invisible ('imaginary') friend until the birthday after his help worked. His charge from ages 5 to 10, would be-author Jane Claremont, is about to marry Tv series star Hugh Danderford. Now Michael appears again, but neither understands with which mission. He's in love with her, a new experience, gradually seduces her by being his irresistible, soul-mate-like self and becomes corporeal. She stubbornly claims toward him, Hugh and her best friend, a psychotherapist, to remain committed to Hugh. Written by

I wasn't sure what to expect with this movie since I haven't read the book. I was pleasantly surprised however! From the moment the movie started I was enthralled with the characters. Who didn't have an imaginary friend as a kid? Pretty much everyone did. Jane was a lovely, if a bit confused, character... a very everyday sort of woman. And Michael! Well, since I haven't read the book I don't know if Eric Winter truly captured the character or not but if he is anything like how he is portrayed then I am going to love him.
This movie gets an A in my book. I would recommend it to anyone who likes an innocent romance.
