A real indie and actually GOOD

I saw this strange movie at a film festival in Los Angeles. I knew nothing about it but I heard about it from a friend who worked on it. He said they shot it in a crazy building like a haunted house in the middle of LA. He said he couldn't quite tell what was going on during the shoot but that everyone had a really memorable time and he was really curious to see the movie. The movie had witches and magical themes but it was really much deeper than the usual fare. It had beautiful music that made it seem even kind of "old fashioned" but still weirdly hip. The cinematography was gorgeous and it was done by Denis Maloney who I discovered has done some great movies. Great actors, but mostly unknown. A lot of the people involved with the project were there and they seemed to really be passionate about the project. The director was a first-time director and he won Best director at the festival. I hope it comes out, and would recommend it to real film lovers, especially if you know who I am talking about when I say Jarmusch, Von Trier, Malick. Great story and very original.
