Storyline
On January 13, 2010, the U.S. Supreme Court blocked the planned YouTube broadcast of the Perry v. Schwarzennegger (Proposition 8) Trial in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Proposition 8 (or the California Marriage Protection Act) was a ballot proposition and constitutional amendment passed in November 2008, that added a new provision to the California Constitution, which provides that "only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California." In the Perry v. Schwarzennegger trial Proposition 8 was eventually overturned and ruled Unconstitutional by Chief Justice Judge Vaughn R. Walker. Written by
