Grease (1978)
The beat to musical segment 3, "You're the Bot That I Want" comes from "Grease's" "You're the One That I Want".
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
The tune to musical segment 2, "Bring Me to Life: The Birth of Electric Girl", pays homage to "This is Halloween" from Tim Burton / Henry Selick's classic "The Nightmare Before Christmas" - Harrison Wall's favourite childhood film. Note that both films also started out as poems.
