Storyline

Voss is a gamer who is unemployed and looking for work. When a management position opens up at a gaming company, he interviews but lacks evidence of leadership abilities necessary to land the job. Given a week to prove himself, Voss does the only thing rational adult would do; create a Utopian society for gamers. Voss convinces his gaming guild to follow him into the mountains and has Marsha, his best friend, document his abilities. However things get complicated when Shadow Hawk, his gaming nemesis, arrives to over throw Voss' kingdom. Written by Adrian Lefler

Trivia

During the "chased through the waves of grain" scene, actor Brandyn Cross, a LARPer, hit a pothole and lost his prosthetic leg. Fellow LARPer James C. Morris, in the same scene, tripped over the leg, and skinned his knee. As he was wearing a kilt at the time, this resulted in a bloody mess, and he was fussed over for several minutes before he demanded air and sunlight so he could recover in peace. See more »

A great comedy for everyone
16 March 2012 | by (Cedar City, UT) – See all my reviews

I had to travel about four hours to see this movie, but it was worth it. I happen to be a gamer, but you don't have to be one to enjoy this movie. It plays up all the gamer stereotypes, but the humor is universal. They don't get into game mechanics or terminology much, so anyone can understand it. The characters are so funny. The way they react to certain situations is priceless. I was laughing so hard, and I was not the only one. Everyone in our entire theater was laughing. The humor was goofy, but I don't think it was too over-the-top. I was an instant fan. I highly recommend seeing it if you are even remotely close to a theater that is playing it.
