Mr O'Grady returns
21 January 2011 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Despite saying he'd never work for ITV again Paul O'Grady returns to the network to host this big budget chat show.

O'Grady has lost none of his charm and wit and welcomes lots of well known guests often giving "exclusive" interviews. There is the same mix of banter and stunts that made the channel 4 version of the show such a hit. Although O'Grady's dogs appear less they are still an element of the show.

Being shown past the watershed allows O'Grady to let rip more and the tone is certainly more adult with his socialist rant in one episode being a highlight of the series.

Although it felt at times like the producers were still trying to figure out what worked and what didn't by and large this new show has got off to a good start.
