Any episode that sees Ray Meagher and Josh Quong Tart given a chance to shine has a lot going for it.The scenes of Alf telling Miles about Tulip are gold, only spoiled by the pointless interjections of scenes of Tulip taking to a guy that looks nothing like Alf and doesn't talk, as if the audience are too dumb to understand what Alf's telling them. It's just a shame that it has to focus around the interest free zone that is Penn, who is coming across as another "Summer Bay will pay" stalker with the flimsiest of motives for doing whatever the writers want him to do.The flashbacks to his past simply demonstrate that every counsellor in Home and Away is absolutely incompetent and easily fooled by any psychotic who makes out they're sorry. The only good thing about his scenes is Sid's barely concealed baiting of him.
Elsewhere, Mitzy gives Marilyn the date she's going to die, although we're not actually told when it is.Sid's reaction is predictably extreme but as yet it hasn't actually caused a real fallout between him and Marilyn so there's hope as yet.
