Barring any surprise announcements, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s 2016 slate looks to be just as busy as 2015’s, if not more so.
Aside from the further adventures of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the upcoming arrival of Agent Carter’s second season, the small screen corner of the McU will continue to be fleshed out through the second season of Daredevil and the first season of Luke Cage. On top of all that, May 6th will mark the arrival of the heavily-anticipated Captain America: Civil War, while the long-awaited Doctor Strange film will be materializing on November 4th.
Across each and every one of these projects, countless new faces – heroes, villains, and otherwise – are set to make their first appearances in the McU. Practitioners of the mystical arts, street-level criminals, female assassins, a web-swinging hero, an extremely violent vigilante, and more will all be joining an ever-expanding world that’s already full of Avengers, »

Twenty freaking years after her last show went off the air, Margaret Cho finally has another one on the way. The Korean-American comedian will star in Amazon's "Highland," an hour-long dramedy created by Liz Sarnoff ("Deadwood," "Lost," Alcatraz"). Cho will play a version of herself who, after court-ordered rehab, moves in with her dysfunctional family, who happens to run a pot dispensary. Cho and Sarnoff will Ep, while the latter will write the series. The "30 Rock" guest star made TV history two decades ago by starring in the first Asian-American family sitcom, ABC's "All-American Girl." We haven't really seen Asian-American stoners in mainstream media since the "Harold and Kumar" movies, and certainly not female ones. Given that Cho has her own strain of marijuana, it's probably fair to say we'll finally see an Asian-American female cannabis devotee in...

Titled “Highland,” the hourlong project in contention at Amazon Prime follows Margaret Cho, who after court-ordered rehab gets a chance to start over, but has to move in with her dysfunctional family who now runs a pot dispensary.
The development project is the latest for Amazon’s slate of original content. Last week, the streaming service was nominated for a slew of Golden Globes and SAG Awards, especially for “Transparent.”

It appears that Sons of Anarchy alum Theo Rossi will find himself playing an outlaw again. The actor has joined the cast of Marvel’s Luke Cage as a series regular. Deadline, which broke the casting news, is reporting that Rossi will be Luke Cage’s enemy Shades (Aka Alvarez), a well-known criminal described as “relentless and menacing, smooth and manipulative, street smart and controlling.” As mentioned above, Rossi just finished a seven-season run as Samcro member Juice on FX’s Sons of Anarchy when the series wrapped back in December. His other TV credits include Law & Order: Svu, Alcatraz, and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. In addition to Rossi being cast in Luke Cage, Deadline also reports that Rosario Dawson will reprise her Daredevil role as Claire Temple in the upcoming Netflix series. With "Justified" over (here's my series finale review), I got on the phone with showrunner Graham Yost to discuss why certain characters lived, others died, and which characters (Mags? Quarles?) he might have brought back under different circumstances, all coming up just as soon as I come back here with a jackhammer... I want to start with the hat, because I know it was one of the few significant creative disagreements you ever had with Elmore (Leonard). At what point did you decide you wanted Raylan to end the series wearing the smaller Stetson that met with his approval? Graham Yost: Pretty early on in the season, we knew we wanted to create a character who really modeled himself after Raylan to one degree or another, and he would get a hat, and Raylan would end up with the bad guy's hat. It's still not a perfect match for what Elmore wanted, »

Cast your minds back to 2002 - a time when Pop Idols didn't need to have The X Factor, Fifty Shades of Grey were just colours on a paint sampler chart and David Beckham was a mere international superstar rather than global megastar.
Bend It Like Beckham, with a modest estimated budget of £3.7 million, opened that same year and became a critical and commercial success - breaking box office records and scoring BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations, as well as making household names of many of its stars.
As the cast continues preparing for the West End stage adaptation of Gurinder Chadha's screen hit ahead of previews on May 15, find out what the movie's ensemble cast went on to achieve - including who is coming back for the musical...

Following the news last month that Ridiculous 6 will be the first project in Adam Sandler's four-movie Netflix deal from September, Lost star Jorge Garcia has joined the cast. Warner Bros., the studio that produced Adam Sandler's last comedy Blended, was previously in talks to distribute the Western comedy Ridiculous 6. The studio backed out after both Blended and Seth MacFarlane's Western A Million Ways to Die in the West underperformed at the box office.
Adam Sandler stars as a man who was raised as an orphan by an Indian tribe in Ridiculous 6, which is described as a spoof of The Magnificent Seven. Taylor Lautner, Luke Wilson, Rob Schneider and Terry Crews are playing the orphan's half-brothers. Last month's report revealed there is one more half-brother yet to be cast, so it's possible that this is who Jorge Garcia is playing. Nick Nolte plays the long-lost father of Sandler's character, »
Where in the world is Olivia Pope?
ABC’s Scandal left viewers with that question, when at the close of Season 4’s winter finale Liv vanished into thin air, in the midst of a romantic rendezvous with Jake. The short answer, as the season resumed?
Olivia was only taken about 15 feet away, to the apartment across the hall from hers — while Jake sprinted to the street below in nothing but his BVDs, to chase after a red herring.
Here are six other reveals/fun facts about Olivia’s disappearance, who was responsible and where she ultimately ended up.
