Case #4867: Stolen Painting
18 October 2012 | by (California) – See all my reviews

After a series of freak fainting spells, Dan is sidelined on desk duty, leaving Jack to partner with Hodges on the case of the stolen painting; one that belongs to a doctor who hatches a scheme to sell of body parts to pay off some looming debts. And things turn creepy when Dan winds up being drugged and kidnapped so that his kidney can be marketed.

Kind of weak in comparison to the preceding string of great episodes, but this one is most notable for the introduction of the Guacamonut: a portmanteau of "guacamole" and "donut", which, in the words of Dan Stark, is "the best cure in the world for a hangover".

It's notable also for a lunch scene between Bailey and Hodges, in which Bailey effectively dons Stark's role in regaling Hodges with old tales.
