Crazy Credits

In a reference to the 3-D Bugs Bunny cartoon "Lumber Jack-Rabbit" (1954), the opening WB shield logo that normally zooms forward in the classic cartoons overshoots its mark and crashes into the screen before moving back into its usual position at the start of the series opening credits. See more »

A Good, But Bad Cartoon
24 June 2013 | by See all my reviews

This show was good, in a sense that it brought back the old characters from the old times. There are same good, yet bad changes to the original. For starters, what happened to Bugs Bunny living in a hole in the ground? Also, Elmer Fudd was a hunter who hunted Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck and now he's a NEWS REPORTER?! He was one of my favorite characters and now he's barely in it.

Another thing, Daffy Duck used to also be one of my favorite characters and now, I hate the guy. I admit, he was kind of a jerk at the beginning, but now, he's hardly likable. Even back then, he was sort of likable.

And also, now The Looney Tunes are a MUSICAL?! I don't remember there being songs in the original. I guess some of the songs are good, but not all of them. When they put The Looney Tunes theme music to words, I'll be willing to watch.

I admit, there are some things I liked about this. When I first started to watch this, Marvin the Martian sang a song about him being a martian and all of that. That was pretty good. And Lola. She is a decent character. She talks too much, though.

Another thing, when did Gossamer go from a terrifying monster to the child of Witch Hazel? And when did Witch Hazel go from wanting to cook Bugs Bunny for her dinner to being Bugs' neighbor. Also, where did all the slapstick comedy that I loved from the original? There is some of it, but not enough. Bugs doesn't outwit his enemies like he used to. And no one wants to hunt him!

In Conclusion: For some of you, you'll find this show entertaining. Even I think it's kind of good. No wonder I gave it a 6. If they made another that was almost as good as the original, I probably would give that a better review. Just what your watching when you watch this.
