Storyline

A horrifying crime enrages Fitch, Washington, Stone and Sanchez when a young woman is shot multiple times in her SUV while hiding a safe, but terrified two-year-old in the back. The long and winding road of discovery runs from the woman's ex-husband to an under-the-radar, possibly illegal manipulation of the foster care system. Meanwhile, Longford and Mahajan investigate the homicide of a college janitor found with drugs in his system. It looks to be the "perfect murder," until the detectives crack the case with an unusual motive. Written by ABC Publicity

Contrived.
9 November 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Contrived, contrived, and even more contrived. This show had some promise, but if these obvious plot twists and star-crossed monotony continues, this show is going to fail. Detective Vikram Mahajan wasn't even close to breaking that girl. There was nothing interesting in her being broke other than that it was so easy. How easy? Uber easy. At no point did the writing make the case for her to reveal her guilt. He called me a bitch. Yeah, as superficial as she was written, that superficial twist was even more transparent. Yes, Fitch denies his true affections because he believed in his twisted sense of justice, but come on, Sanchez finding Stone in the elevator. Please. So boring. Try harder.
