However they are saved by the arrival of Tom,who escapes with George whilst Mitchell kills off Herrick for good. Annie is lured into purgatory by Lia,who tells that she lied to Mitchell about his being killed by a werewolf to scare him but that he believes her prophesy will come true. Sensing that Annie now despises Mitchell Lia lets Annie go and she is able to help bring Nina back to life. Mitchell returns to the house, begging George to put a stake through him before he kills any more people but they are interrupted by Edgar Wyndam,a representative of the 'old' vampires, who has his own plans for Mitchell. Who died? Who is dying? Who is coming back from the dead? This series has killed off several characters who have come back in one form or another. Herrick being the perfect example. Since the show deals with ghosts, vampires, and werewolves (and an occasional zombie girl), you might expect that the dead won't stay dead.

However, when the characters take themselves so seriously that they are ridiculous, and their powers and abilities change from week to week, at some point it is like watching the circus. Annie plays the dumbest ghost on earth, like Gilligan on Gilligan's Island. She brings all kinds of trouble to the group, and the rest of them have to pick up the pieces.

In this case, Annie sort of leads Mitchell into getting caught, Herrick gets Mitchell to fight the werewolf with the gigantic ears and Nina gets caught up in the web of the dysfunctional stupidity of the rest of the characters. Into all this is the new werewolf and his step-dad, and their issues. There so much drama and outright over-the-top, over- acting, that you could really just look at this show as a comedy.
