It's better than I could do!

I was lucky enough to see this film recently at a special screening with the father of co-director Jez Blackmore.

It has a dark feel to it, reminiscent of 1920s German cinema. There is little dialogue and the lead actress meets the challenge of conveying the emotional journey she's going on. The music sets the mood very well and I especially like the piece that sounds like a music box. The story seems to successfully and subtly merge aspects of two of my favourite films, Edward Scissorhands and Labyrinth.

Overall a good effort from the mostly student cast and crew. A positive glimpse of great things to come from independent British cinema.
