Coming hot on the heels of the first image of Ben Affleck as The Dark Knight in Batman vs. Superman is another piece of news that might be of (considerably less, but still some) interest to DC fans, with Warner Bros. announcing that the Justice League will be taking on their arch enemies the Legion of Doom a week from now with the wide release of the family-friendly animated movie Jla Adventures: Trapped in Time on May 20th. Beware the Batman to air on Toonami

Back in October, Cartoon Network abruptly pulled Beware the Batman from its schedule, leading to speculation that the CG-animated series had gone the way of Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series.

Well, it seems that isn’t the case after all (at least, not yet), with The World’s Finest reporting that the show will join Adult Swim’s Toonami block in, with the entire 26-episode season set to air. Here are the official loglines for the unaired episodes (which contain spoilers)…

“#12 Attraction”

After Batman shows her some kindness in prison, Magpie breaks free and captures Katana – burying her alive – in a jealous rage.

“#13 Fall”

With the might of the League of Assassins behind him, Ra’s Al Ghul comes to Gotham and steals the Ion Cortex for his own use. And even Batman is powerless to stop him.

New Beware the Batman Footage to Premiere at Wondercon

14 April 2014 9:35 PM, PDT | Legions of Gotham | See recent Legions of Gotham news »

They say unseen footage will be shown.  Now, this is subjective, because we only had 11 episodes air in the United States, two more on the DVD / Blu-Ray release and a few more have aired overseas for those that can find them for download, so more than likely it will be one of these epsiodes, but we don't have confirmation yet.  I will update you when I find out more.

The full release is below:

Warner Archive Collection presents an incredibly eclectic quartet of panels at WonderCon this coming weekend, April 18-20, spotlighting everything from popular animated super hero TV series and kooky cartoon music to real-life heroes in animation (and back again) and the original transforming toy robots, The GoBots.

The talent on these four panels also covers the entertainment gamut, highlighted by the appearance of renowned screenwriter Steven E. de Souza (Die Hard, 48 Hrs.) discussing his 1987 cult classic TV movie, »

Beware the Batman absent from Cartoon Network's 2014-2015 schedule

17 March 2014 3:46 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

If you were holding out any hope that Cartoon Network might air the remaining episodes of Beware the Batman, then I'm afraid we've got some bad news for you.

It appears that our fears have been confirmed and the show has gone the way of Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series, with Newsarama reporting that the CG-animated series is absent from Cartoon Network's 2014-2015 schedule. Teen Titans Go! is set to return later in the year for more episodes, although there's no new DC animated show planned for the upcoming season.

Beware the Batman was abruptly pulled from the schedule back in October after just eleven episodes, while the first thirteen were released on DVD as Season One - Part One. It remains to be seen whether the remaining episodes will see the light of day but it certainly won't be on Cartoon Network. »
